As you may remember, last month I told you about my recent trip to Florida Disney Resorts with my sons, Mohan, Elliott and Joseph.
My daughter, Hanayo, had to stay behind to run her Cupcake store but that didn’t stop her from taking off a day for fun with her Best Friends Forever.
I always wondered what the abbreviation BFF meant as I’ve been slow to learn Text Messaging and Facebook. Now I know – while the boys were in Florida on business, the girls were having fun.
You see, Hanayo has been friends with sisters Akemi and Takako Lee since they were all but 3 years old. They’ve shared everything from Summer Church Camps, High School drama, all having Japanese mothers and now Hapa Cupcakes.
On this occasion it was Takako’s birthday and what else would they decide to do but celebrate together at the Malibu Wine Safaris. While they toasted Takako’s Birthday they made friends with the Malibu Ranch Giraffe and treated him to carrots. I would have never thought – Hey, go visit the Giraffe in Malibu Wine Safaris for your birthday.
Matson Money Conference…
Meanwhile, back at the Ranch, errah – business conference; the boys and I slaved away. Well, okay, we were enjoying the Florida sun and meeting a lot of new friends. It may seem like the kids and I are world travelers – in fact we’re a very home-body family. We like hanging out on a Sunday night together with Pizza and Ice Cream and watching movies.
Remembering my sweet heart!
May 30th was the 2nd year Memorial for my wife and the kids mother – Nobuko. We love you always Mommy and I miss you!
